Short biography of Dr. Farhad Hafezi
Dr. Farhad Hafezi graduated from Alborz High School in 1971, ranking among the top twenty in Iran’s national university entrance exam. He earned his medical degree from Shiraz University Medical School, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. After completing his residency in General Surgery at Shiraz University, he received his Board of General Surgery certification in 1987. Dr. Hafezi then served as an Assistant Professor of General Surgery at Iran and Meli University of Medical Sciences for three years. He pursued a fellowship in plastic surgery in London at The Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Vernon Hospital, obtaining his Board of Plastic Surgery certifications in 1992. He became an Associate Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2005 and the first full Professor of Plastic Surgery at Tehran and Iran University in 2010. A prolific author, Dr. Hafezi has published over 72 peer-reviewed articles, co-authored several textbooks, and presented at more than 100 conferences. He is a member of esteemed organizations, including the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and serves on the Board of Plastic Surgery for Iranian medical judiciary organizations. Dr. Farhad Hafezi has been the former Professor of Plastic surgery and head, department of maxillofacial surgery, Iran University of medical sciences and currently is the head of the Plastic Surgery Unit at Arad General Hospital in Tehran, where he practices and mentors aspiring plastic surgeons, leaving a lasting impact on his patients and the medical community.
